Jenni Froment
Chapter Leader of ICAN Phoenix
Hey! My name is Jenni. I have a handsome husband, 3 biological kids and 1 bonus kid (step-child). My first two births were cesarean and the direct result of blind trust in our medical system and poor [read: zero] planning.
By my third birth, I realized that birth could be an experience; not just a medical procedure to bring a baby earthside. I achieved my successful vba2c in December 2012. A beautiful 9lb, 5oz hunk of a boy named Milo. It changed my life and it lit a fire inside me to help other women take back control of their birth experience. I became chapter leader of ICAN Phoenix in March 2013.
My ultimate goal is to educate women on the risks and benefits of the medical system's influence on pregnancy and birth and to empower women to feel confident that their birth was theirs and worthy of pride and praise.

Jesse Franks
Co-Leader of ICAN Phoenix
My name is Jesse. I had a cesarean in June 2010 after being induced, having my water broken, getting an epidural and pushing for 2.5 hours. After my daughter was born, I suffered from postpartum depression. I started attending ICAN meetings, volunteering my time as Assistant Chapter Director and I became co-leader of ICAN of Phoenix. I started telling my story to anyone who would listen and I slowly started to heal.
In April 2012 I welcomed my second daughter after a quick 4 hour VBAC. I now have 3 beautiful girls, the last one born after just 2.5 hours of active labor in October 2014. I'm very proud to be a part of ICAN of Phoenix and I look forward to many more years of helping women on their journeys.
